How HocusFocus connects your child's Apple devices
Ready to enroll a device?
Enrollment happens on the Devices page — one click generates a QR code / install link that your child scans or taps on their iPhone, iPad, or Mac. The HocusFocus VPN installs in seconds. No app store download needed.

On Devices, click "Add Device"
Pick the child, give the device a name, choose iPhone / iPad / Mac, and set
(once) your 4–8 character Removal PIN. This PIN is required to uninstall the
HocusFocus profile later.

A QR code + link appears
The link is single-use and expires in 15 minutes. Your child can scan the QR
with their phone camera, or you can text/email them the link directly.

The child taps Allow → Install
Safari downloads a
.mobileconfig Apple Configuration Profile.
iOS / macOS walks through a few install confirmations. HocusFocus's internal
CA is trusted, an IKEv2 VPN profile is created, and the tunnel starts
automatically.

Dashboard starts showing activity
Within a minute, the device flips from Pending to Online on
the Devices page. The Focus Score begins updating on the Dashboard and Focus
Score pages.

Apple only. HocusFocus uses Apple's built-in IKEv2 VPN so there is
nothing to install from the App Store. Android and Windows aren't supported in this
version.
